robert rose

The cliche about robert rose's music is that he's a musical chameleon, composing music according to fashion and trends - and trying to capitalize on hype in order to make a buck.

While this is almost certainly too glib, there's no denying the shallowness, but sheer breadth of rose's influences which range from any number of styles including 80's pop, jazz, hard southern country and electronic classical.

After spending several years in the late '80s and early nineties performing in various bands and scoring Las Vegas shows and television, Rose briefly retired from music . But in 2006, rose re-emerged after being visited in a dream by Bootsy Collins, and after hearing him recite the lyrics to "Party on Plastic" has since focused his energy purely on writing the funky soundtrack to pop culture. rose's music can be heard in independent films, reality television shows such as "MTV's Pimp My Ride", the soundtrack to many internet sites, and various Los Angeles and New York theater productions.
